24/7 Youth Nights– 19th and 20th of September

3rd September 2008

As part of the 24-7 BCF is hosting from the 14-21st of September, we have two nights that have been assigned to the young(er) people of BCF.

On both Friday 19th & Saturday 20th, different people will be staying over at the Ark, taking shifts through the night to pray, and spending the rest of the time playing games/eating/talking/sleeping (delete as appropriate).

The nights will run from 10pm– 7am, followed by an early breakfast!

If you’re interested in coming along to one of the nights or want more info, talk to Pete Osborne or Ruth McConnell.

Soul Survivor

15th May 2008

Each year over 10,000 young people pile off to Shepton Mallet for 5 days; to camp in a sometimes muddy field, eat food, worship God, watch movies, hear some great teaching, eat more food, make new friends, and encounter God! BCF has taken a group along for a good few years now, and this year is no exception.

We will be going to Week B this year (11-15 August), and the cost of the event is 87 quid.

You will need a tent, or you can share one with someone who already has one. We tend to eat a cooked meal together, and people bring their own food for the rest of the time.

Soul Survivor is best for those aged 14-18, but if anyone younger is interested, then come and talk to one of us. (If you’re over 18, or have been to Soul Survivor more times than you can remember, you might want to think about going to Momentum instead, as its aimed at students– details on the website below).

If you’re under 18, you need someone over 18 who is able to be your ‘responsible adult’ for the week. Talk to either Ruth or Pete if you need someone to do this.

For more info go to www.soulsurvivor.com/uk and please talk to Pete Osborne or Ruth McConnell before booking!

Youth Weekend– Live Deeply 2008

17th March 2008

May 9-10th, we are having a ‘mini youth weekend’, based at The Ark.

It is called ‘Live Deeply’, and will be exploring what it means to live a full and deep life. As is normal with these weekends there will be great food, lots of fun, a chance to hang out together, and a challenge for our faith.

Prayer Partner Scheme

11th July 2007

BCF has had a Prayer Partners scheme, whereby an adult in the church prays for a young person or child on a regular basis, for some time.

We are relaunching the scheme, and there are two ways to take part.

If you would like to pray for a child or young person in the church, please use the Contact form to let us know.

If you are a young person who would like to have someone pray for you, or a parent who would like someone to pray for their child on a regular basis, please fill out this form, and follow the instructions at the end of it.

You will then be contacted with details of your prayer partner. If you want to know more about how the scheme works, please contact Pete Osborne at the BCF Office.

Youth Weekend 6-8th July: Book Now!

29th May 2007

It’s that time of the year again, when the youth of BCF gather for a time of exploration, worship, fun and food– coming together to experience and learn more of God in their lives.

The title for this year’s weekend is ‘Where is God?’ We ask this question both when we are searching for more of God, wanting Him to be more and more a part of our lives; and when we are unsure where he is, or if he’s even there at all. So, whatever way you find yourself asking ‘Where is God?’, come along to the youth weekend and be part of a journey of exploring and searching together for God in our lives.

Booking forms are available to download here, or at the Grange on Sundays. For more info contact Pete Osborne at the BCF Office.
