What is BCF?

About BCF > What is BCF?

Bristol Christian Fellowship (BCF) is committed to becoming a mission focused church, motivated and mobilised through prayer, filled and inspired by the Holy Spirit, guided by Scripture, expressing church life as a community of friends and followers of Jesus.

In historical terms, BCF has been around for over 30 years. Initially we were labelled a house church because a primary venue for fellowship, teaching and prayer was the home. Today BCF has adopted a cell church model where the cell—a small group—is intended to help put theory into practice.

As well as celebration meetings, BCF aims to develop a variety of special prayer and worship events. We experiment with more ‘themed’ meetings, interactive teaching times and one-off special events, often involving food. There is a specially dedicated prayer room at Severn Ridge and we have had weeks of prayer as part of “24-7”.

The church is a registered charity, no. 294924, part of the Pioneer network of churches and a member of the Evangelical Alliance.
