What is Aardv:ark?
Aardvark is an expression of church, seeking to be light on its feet– adaptable and responsive to the world around it. We find ourselves on a journey of discovering, day by day, what it means to follow Jesus. We desire to be provoked and formed into a lifestyle of worship and community, with mission as the arrowhead which drives us forward.
We would love others who share a similar desire to join us on this adventure!
There is an Aardv:ark Blog which has info about what’s going on and is there for all to contribute to. Feel free to have a look around and leave a comment or two! Or if you’d like to hear some of the music that has been created by people who are a part of Aardv:ark, check out the Aardvark Tunes MySpace.
What about the name?
A definition of the aardvark was given as follows: aardvark (ard’-vark) a controversial animal with a long probing nose used for sniffing out the facts and stimulating thought and discussion.
So when/where does all this happen?
Aardvark is not primarily about a meeting, but a community of people seeking to love God, each other and the world around them. However we do gather on Sunday evenings in the Ark at 8pm. To see when the next meeting is check the Diary.
To find directions to the Ark, have a look at the Venues page.
