What is Aardv:ark?
Bristol is a city with high numbers of students based in colleges, universities, sixth forms and training schools. Aardv:ark provides practical help in both discipleship (how does Christian faith work out in daily life) and mission (how relevant is this to my world?) Our hope is that Aardv:ark will also help newcomers to the city / university / church, to find friends and connect with the wider community of BCF.
We are not a church with hordes of students. Just some great ones! It’s a community that’s been developing over the past three years and we’d love you to be a part of the future growth of Aardv:ark.
There is food at the end too.. usually pizza!
A recent addition to the Aardv:ark scene is the Aardv:ark Blog which is there for all to contribute to. Feel free to have a look around and leave a comment or two! Or if you’d like to hear some of the music that has been created by people who are a part of Aardv:ark, check out the Aardv:ark Tunes MySpace.
What about the name?
A definition of the aardvark was given as follows: aardvark (ard’-vark) a controversial animal with a long probing nose used for sniffing out the facts and stimulating thought and discussion.
So when/where does all this happen?
Sunday evenings in the Ark at 8pm. To see when the next meeting is check the Diary.
(N.B. Due to Aardv:ark’s student focus, meetings often don’t happen during school/university holidays.)
To find directions to the Ark, have a look at the Venues page.
